Prior to employment, all direct support workers are screened to determine pre-requisite skills and knowledge of:

• medication assistance
• behavioral intervention techniques
• individualized plans
• emergency protocols
• individual rights
• abuse and neglect incident reporting
• seizure care and management
• body mechanics
• confidentiality

Ongoing training and supervision assure that each employee's job performance continues to meet or exceed SECOH's high standards. In addition, all direct support workers maintain current CPR, First Aid and Water Safety certification.
